A proper British absurdist comedy sketch this, with an exploding policeman and butt jokes. This could have been a Monty Python skit and it’s an absolute delight to see this kind of surreal nonsense being done way back in 1902.

The effect of the exploding person slowly being put back together is impressive given how early it is and I particularly enjoyed the enthusiastically bouncing foot.
